This was my favorite project yet, not only did I finally do something that meant something to me, but I felt like I made a new friend.
The interview process was hard and timely, and cutting the audio so that it all flowed was no easy task at all, but I really enjoyed diving into something that means more to me then just an assignment. While Grace was extremely gracious (pun intended), seeing that her arm is in a sling, it was tough to get her in many more positions then just standing. Also she was not crazy about the idea of incorporating anything that has to do with her being an openly gay student in her pictures. She said she would feel much more comfortable taking pictures in her natural environment and showed me around to some spots by where she lived.
The liquor store in this, is apparently where she says she spends maybe to much time, but she really wanted pictures around there. The lighting was not in my favor and the scenery was tough, but I think we made it work and got something out of it that both her and I could say we are comfortable with. I did however have issues with the captions. Overall it was a really fun experience.
